Having been involved in the development of this exciting new product, TP3 has evolved into a simple, easy to apply, yet extremely effective surgical tool in eliminating disturbing lung air-leaks following Thoracic procedures; and as its name implies, it is a good 'patch' to seal off leaking lung parenchyma.

I have been using Tissuepatch3 for many months now, initially as part of a trial and latterly in routine clinical practice. I have been impressed from the very outset not only with its’ ease of use in comparison to other sealants, but more importantly its’ effectiveness in dealing with parenchymal air leaks after pulmonary surgery. Thoracic surgeons have always sought a more effective way of dealing with air leaks; undoubtedly a problem for us but even more so for our patients. Tissuepatch3 is, in my view, the most significant step forward in recent years in helping us to help our patients with troublesome air leaks.
